Coffee is always changing from the time it’s harvested to the time it lands at the roasters location. By using a small batch roaster we can better adjust for the changing moisture content of the bean. In addition, the sound of the roasting process can sometimes make all the difference and allow for on the fly adjustments.
There are many coffees we would like to offer but 3 criteria we look for when deciding to put a label on the coffee and offer it as a staple. The coffee has to be FTO, fare trade organic, it needs to be a coffee we can get on a consistent basis, and finally it needs to have a price point that the majority of consumers are comfortable. There are many coffees we would love to offer but the price would be such that most people would not pay that price.
